Namaste yoga mat spray... and more
I was in the middle of my yoga session and realized my mat hadn't been refreshed in a while, so... using local island lavender we created our own hydrosol and combined it with witch hazel and a few drops of essential oil - voila -a new aromatic spray!
What is Hydrosol...?
Great question! Hydrosol (also known as floral water) is a botanical water created by distilling plant material and capturing the plant's water soluble compound and traces of essentials oils. We use an alembic copper still filled with lavender and water. The steaming process traps and condenses the steam until it finally drips out the bottom. It is an amazing process and boy does the apothecary smell great while we're working.
Why Lavender?
Lavender is one of my favorite scents but also creates a relaxing and calming environment, perfect for your yoga sessions! But don't stop there, this spray can be used for everyday purposes and turn any room in your house into a blissful haven as lavender promotes stress relief and can even provide sleep quality benefits.
